Whether you’re planning a world beating feat of rowing the Atlantic, like our amazing ambassador Julia Immonen, or perhaps setting yourself a new goal in keepie uppies, why not use your sporting prowess to bring freedom to those trapped in slavery?
We’re delighted to be taking on the legacy of Sport for Freedom. It was set up by Julia to help combat slavery. As a result thousands of people have been involved in using sport to bring freedom to victims of trafficking.
We’re looking for people to run for freedom, row for freedom, skate for freedom, play a game of football for freedom (we could go on); basically if it involves sport we’re asking you to organise a challenge, get friends involved, ask for some sponsorship (or ask people to pay to take part) – all to raise funds to release women and children who have been enslaved.
Download our simple fundraising guide and we’ll help get you started.
Sport is powerful! I’ve seen first hand the way it can impact, inspire, educate and awaken people to action. I’m excited to continue my work and combined passion for sport and ending slavery through Justice and Care. After a life changing trip to India seeing the work of this outstanding charity, I couldn’t be more honoured to champion all things sport to bring freedom!
